ERRATA
The original pattern release included an earlier draft of the Allotment square which isn’t exactly the same as the square pictured. If you have already knitted this square then we would advise leaving it as is. Should you decide to reknit the square the updated Allotment pattern is now available in the PDF downloads.
The original edging instructions have been updated to clarify that 4 sts should be picked up along each vertical edge. The original pattern erroneously gave 5 sts for every 6 rows over a small section of the edging.

Finished measurements
85cm wide x 83cm tall after blocking
Each panel measures 20cm wide x 19.5cm tall after blocking

Needles & accessories
1 pair 4mm (US 6/ UK 8) knitting needles
A 3.25mm (US 3/ UK 10) circular needle, 120cm or 150cm long for working border
Eight hinged stitch markers for edging
One contrast colour stitch marker for edging
(Optional) 1 metre of cotton jersey fabric and matching polyester thread for backing the blanket if desired.

If making the blanket for a baby or young child it should be backed with cotton jersey fabric.

Stranded colourwork tension
26 sts and 26 rows to 10cm measured over stranded colourwork using 4mm needles before blocking
24 sts and 24 rows to 10cm measured over stranded colourwork using 4mm needles after blocking

Strandtarsia colourwork tension
26 sts and 27 rows to 10cm measured over strandtarsia colourwork using 4mm needles before blocking
24 sts and 24.5 rows to 10cm measured over strandtarsia colourwork using 4mm needles after blocking

Note: This pattern uses almost all the yarn specified. Treat the first panel in each technique as your tension swatch.

Blocking is essential for this pattern.
