A sweet little pair of fraternal fingerless mitts, elegantly constructed, with exquisite details.

Sizing: The charts are designed such that the pattern runs to the edge of every size, thus sizing is fully customizable, as one may easily mix and match length and width. (As written, the sizing allows for zero ease and a length just past the base of the fingers.)

Skills required: working stranded colourwork on dpns, reading colourwork charts. The colourwork has been designed for ease of knitting: short floats, optimal needle positioning, etc. Illustrated tutorials are provided for all special elements.

Needles: Designed to be knit on 4 dpns with a 5th used to perform the special cable twist. Could easily be adapted to two circulars or magic loop, but will still need the spare dpn.

Other supplies: tapestry needle, 4 stitch markers (more if you plan to use circulars)

Yarn: The pattern will work with any fingering weight wool, and sock yarn is particularly suitable. Yardage requirement: approx. 130 yards each of colours A and B. Split skeins of carefully paired colourways are available from Impulse of Delight, allowing the pattern to be knit from a single skein, rather than purchasing two for partial use.
