With its lacy edges and modern styling, this cute
cardi will add elegance to your outfits year-round. Because of the overlapping fronts, it’s very forgiving with respect to fit.
Knit in one piece from the top down, it has no seams.
The seed-stitch edging is knitted along with the body
of the sweater, so there’s no sewing required. There
is an optional ruffle which can be blocked into a
scalloped edge.
The cardi can be closed with a great pin – or left
open to form loose lapels.
The lace is reminiscent of coral and the way it grows,
branching out from itself. Botany Bay is in Australia,
famous for its coral reefs.
Skills: Easy lace, knitting in the round (for the
sleeves).
Sizes: Woman’s small (medium, large, extra-large,
2X-large, 3X-large).
Finished measurements:
Chest: 35 (39, 43, 47¼ , 51½ , 55¼ ) inches (note
there is about 6-8 inches of overlapped front fabric at
the top, which tapers towards the hem).
Length: 20 (21, 23, 25, 27, 29) inches.
