This is a great project for your leftover scrap yarn! The headband is made in the shape of a elongated bowtie so it is also perfect to make as a gift since the size is adjustable.

The gauge is also not super important, it will mostly only change the size of the bow. I opted for a tight knit in mine so that it would be very sturdy.
