All of my Nintendo Washcloth pattens are discontinued. If you added the patterns to your Ravelry library when they were available, the files should still be there for you to use. However, as they feature trademarked characters I do not own, I no longer distribute them to anyone, on or off Ravelry. Thank you for understanding!

It’s time to introduce a bad guy to the Mario washcloth series! And what better choice than the ultimate Mario boss, Bowser himself? Due to his repeated kidnapping of Princess Peach over the years, Mario and Luigi are constantly having to teach this guy a lesson - but he never really seems to learn.

This pattern is nothing but knit and purl stitches, but it gives a good-looking final product. The PDF file includes a chart for the stitches and alternative instructions for the chart-phobic. It is more complicated than its companion cloths, but a fast knit nonetheless! Black yarn seems appropriate somehow for the Koopa King of lava-filled dungeons.

All the Nintendo-themed washcloths are designed to be exactly the same size (25 x 25 cm/10 x 10 inches), so they can also be used as afghan squares and they should all line up nicely with one another. The charts included can be used as double-knitting templates as well by treating RS knit stitches as colour A and RS purl stitches as colour B, excluding the garter stitch edge. Note that for double-knitting you will need twice as much yarn (70-80 yards of each colour) because you are basically knitting two squares at once.

Enjoy!
