A modern and contemporary pattern with clean lines and a boxy fit.
(Since a lot of people asked, the buttons are just decorative, you can still knit the sweater without them! :D)

Despite being Boxy’s little brother, this pattern is worked in a completely different way and features lots of details that make it quite unique and interesting!
Boxy and Buttony is worked from the top down, seamlessly. It has an oversized fit, but with slightly less fabric than Boxy. The main sections of the sleeves are worked at the same time with the body, and a faux button-band outlines the shoulders.
A textured panel in the front helps to add visual interest to an otherwise simple and minimalist sweater.
Let the drapey-ness of your favorite fingering weight yarn wrap you using this simple and chic pattern!

Sizes:
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL).
Note on sizing: This is a very oversized sweater, and it can fit a big range of sizes. It is intended to be worn with a great amount of positive ease; that is why the biggest difference among the different sizes is the sleeve circumference.
Shown in size M, on a 35” bust.

Finished Measurements:
Bust circumference: 55 (55, 59½, 59½, 64, 64, 65) inches; 138 (138, 149, 149, 160, 160, 163) cm.
Elbow circumference: 9½ (10, 10½, 11¼, 12, 12¾, 14) inches; 24 (25, 26, 28, 30, 32, 35) cm.
Sleeve length from elbow to cuff: 9¼ inches; 23 cm (If you want them shorter/longer, you can knit them as long as you like them).
Length from underarm to hem: 16¾ inches; 42 cm (Same as previous measurement).

Materials:
Yarn: Tosh Merino Light (100% Merino – 110g – 420y) or any other fingering weight yarn that knits up to the gauge: 4 (4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5) skeins.
Needles: US 3 (3.25mm) and US 4 (3.5mm) circular needles (you will need 2 lengths of the larger needles, one of them at least 40” long, and another one shorter for working the sleeves).
Other Notions: 14 buttons, approx. 1 cm wide. Stitch holders, stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn.

Gauge:
21 st and 30 rows to 4 inches (10 cm) on US 4 (3.5mm) needles, in stockinette st, after blocking.
Please wash and block your swatch before measuring, my pre-blocking gauge was 23.5 st to 4 inches.
