When I first started designing and selling my hand-crochet hats at local markets in the Seattle area, I caught on quickly to the fact that many young men were interested in handmade goods, but they just didn’t have very much to choose from.  So, as long as I had a few "boy beanies" in stock, guys would stop at my booth to talk, sometimes even to tell me that they, too, love to crochet!  This hat, which can be made in endless color combos, is one of my most popular designs, with a combination of stitches that adds an interesting texture to the stripe pattern.  It’s a stretchy, close-fitting, and comfortable hat in a style that’s popular as casual street wear and with outdoor sports enthusiasts, boarders, skaters, and bikers.  Made in 100% acrylic yarn for easy care, one size fits just about everyone, ages teen to adult.
