CORRECTION TO PHOTO p. 84 of printed book:
Side 1 and Side 2 labels should be swapped; the left-hand image (with one braid) is Side 2 and the right-hand image (with two braids) is Side 1.

Using bulky yarn, this scarf is quick to knit. Attractive on both sides, a subtle but fun feature is that the cables aim in one direction on one side of the scarf, and the other direction on the other side. With only four rows in the cable repeat, it’s easy to memorize the pattern.

It’s a cinch to customize this pattern to suit your needs. Reduce the width by using smaller needles and a lighter weight yarn, add a brighter color, and voila! You have a great gift for a woman.
