This cowl pattern is a unique way to incorporate multiple colours without the hassle of switching yarns on and off. The cowl is constructed with spaces to thread through slip-stitched pieces that have a braided effect. The braids are tied in a bow to the side and add a pop of colour to the piece.

This pattern works well for beginner crocheters. It is versatile and would make for a great gift.

The cowl pictured is made using a Knit Picks Brava Worsted yarn and the braids are made using a Knit Picks Chroma yarn.

5.5 mm crochet hook for the cowl and a 3.5 mm crochet hook for the braids.

Basic stitches are used (single crochet, double crochet and slip-stitch) and only basic construction is required.
