GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS!

Many thanks to all who have asked to be notified when I have updated and released the pattern.

THE BAD NEWS:

The release of this patten has been postponed.

THE GOOD NEWS:

I have been working on a book. It is being published by Soho Publishing/Sixth & Spring and will be released Fall 2016.

I hope you will understand the deadlines I face for the book are the priority and this pattern may not see the light of day again until December or January.

This pattern is no longer available through Skacel.
I expect to release an updated and reformatted pattern. Please leave a comment if you would like to be notified.

Bravura was designed by Tracy Purtscher for The Fiber Factor Challenge 3.

ERRATA: CHANGES BELOW IN BOLD

For patterns dated prior to 9/4/14, the following corrections (highlighted in yellow) apply:

Cape: Row 99 (119) (RS) (Not WS): Working first with the Right Front & Back side, slip the remaining 115 (151) sts to the other needle, so that the needle points of the circular needle are now between the two sets of sts on hold. Work now across the 115 (151) live sts of the Left Back & Front in Herringbone Stitch; Cable Cast On 53 sts loosely; work in Herringbone Stitch across the remaining 115 (151) sts of the Right Front & Back = 283 (355) sts

The following corrections have been made to this pattern and apply to patterns dated prior to 11/05/13.

  • Under INSTRUCTIONS / Dividing for Cape / Rows 50 - 81 (70 - 101): / Left Front/Half Back: Line should read: 21 sts in Herringbone, 3 sts in Garter, 44 (62) sts in Stockinette, 3 sts in Garter, 41 (NOT 21) sts in Herringbone.

For patterns dated prior to 2/6/14, the following corrections apply:

Cape:
Increases:
Row 119 (139) (RS): Work 21 sts in Herringbone, 3 sts in Garter, 55 (73) sts in Stockinette, kfb, k1, place marker,
kfb, 56 (74) sts in Stockinette, 3 sts in Garter, 21 sts in Herringbone = 164 (200) sts.

Note: Alternate between the following WS and RS rows through Row 130 (150), removing marker in the last RS row.

Rows 120 - 130 (140 - 150) (WS rows): Work even in est pat, working new sts in Stockinette St.

Rows 121 - 129 (141 - 149) (RS rows): Work as est to 1 stitch before marker, (K1B, K1 Inc), remove marker, (K1, K1B Inc), work as est to end of row = 174 (210) sts (after all increases).
