The Breaker Beanie is my contribution to the 2023 Crochet Cancer Challenge, hosted by Christine Naugle of Sweet Potato 3. To see all my Crochet Cancer Challenge contributions, click HERE.

The Breaker Beanie works up flat, sideways, with 2 different stitch patterns: a half double crochet folded brim, and the trinity stitch, on the bias, for the body of the hat. Then the hat is seamed and the top cinched closed. Easy as that, you’ll have a hat to pass on to a loved one or to donate!

This hat is rated Easy. With knowledge of hdc, sc, working stitches together, and skipping stitches, you’ll be able to create your own Breaker Beanie!

This hat comes in ONE SIZE. Information is given in the NOTES on how to create a smaller or larger beanie. I used 230 yards of a thicker DK weight yarn.

The beanie has a folded brim. It can also be worn without folding as a slouchy beanie.
