I was looking for a hat that had a vintage housewife feel, without just tying my hair up in a bandana. I wanted something with a little sparkle and sheen to make it fancier and I named the hat after the ultimate modern housewife- Bree Van de Kamp-Hodge, of Desperate Housewives.

I really like the versatility that this hat has. It can be worn like a beanie, or the tie makes it so that it can fit snuggly if you want to tuck all your hair up in it. It can also be knitted longer, like a snood, for people with long or thick hair. The tie also creates a cute accessory for the hat, like a flower, that can be worn on top, on the side, or in the back.
