My Take on Brianna’s Outlander Capelet
Designed for my online pals, the Stichenachs.

Inspiration credit here (https://twitter.com/OutlanderCostum/status/10795391241748...) and here (https://twitter.com/OutlanderCostum/status/10794422055996...), based on an original garment (https://www.etsy.com/listing/84100565/made-to-order-the-o...) designed and sold by Knitsome Studio (https://www.etsy.com/shop/KnitsomeStudio) on Etsy.

Pattern Notes
• I used Cap Sease’s “Chinese waitress cast-on” with a crochet hook, as explained to me by Sarah Hauschka. I used an icord bind-off for tidy matched edges. You may use whatever you like, of course! Cap Sease: https://www.ravelry.com/designers/cap-sease
• I’ve included a row of buttonholes parallel to the cast-on edge, and a second button hole at the top. This allows for multiple stylings.
• Always slip the first stitch of each row purlwise with yarn in front for a tidy selvedge. (Indicated in the instructions as S1.)

I included a description of a short-row technique that I pieced together based on others that are similar. My explanation is wordy and has no pictures. You are welcome to use any short-row strategy you like.
