Description

Fast, easy and reversible, the name Breidan comes from a Middle English word for “twist” in reference to the small twisted cable.

The stitch is easy to execute, knits quickly and does NOT require a cable needle. Versatile enough to suit all ages and tastes, the textured fabric is sweet in soft shades, cheerful in brights and tailored in neutrals.

Strip construction keeps the project compact, portable and comfortable to work on in any season. The modified three-needle joining method looks polished, preserves drape and makes seaming easy.

The pattern is written for worsted weight yarn and includes a handy guide so you can readily customize width, length and yardage.

Skill Level

Breidan is suited to any knitter who can cast on, knit, purl, slip stitches, pick up stitches and bind off.
