Brianna’s cape from Outlander has certainly been popular! This is my crochet version. It requires knowledge of short rows and crochet in the back loop. Suggested yarn weight it worsted/aran. It’s really a fun and quick project to work!

Instructions include 2 sizes. I’m calling them regular and plus. There are also instructions for optional buttonholes, but the cape can be worn just using a shawl pin or brooch to attach at the neck for some flexibility.

Yarn: Aran Weight - 2 (3) - 100 gr skeins (3 ½ oz/100gr, 181 yds/165 meters per skein). Or approximately 362 (543) yards/330 (495) meters, 7 (10.5) oz/200 (300) gr total, or any yarn to obtain gauge.
Hook size 6.5mm (K) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Optional – 2 one to one and a half inch buttons as desired.
