Sweater + poncho = swoncho, a great transition piece for weather that’s too warm for a jacket. The Brickyard Swoncho is designed to be worn with a lot of positive ease (and a ton of swagger), so it fits a wide range of sizes. It’s worked from the top down, making the sleeves and the cropped length easy to adjust.

The front is worked in a Broken Seed stitch, the back and upper sleeves are worked in Stockinette stitch, and the lower sleeves and bottom welt are worked in a 3x1 ribbing.

The finished chest measurements are 51.5 (56)“; the sample shown is a size S/M worn with about 20” of ease.

You will need US size 7 (4.5mm) 16”, 24” and 40” circular needles (or size needed to obtain gauge) and a set of US size 7 (4.5mm) double pointed needles (or gauge size) for the sleeve ribbing. You can definitely use one of the circular needles to Magic Loop the sleeve ribbing if that’s your preference.
