The Bridge View Beanie is a 2 colour fairisle hat that is designed for Convent & Chapel Convent Irish Tweed. Rustic and authentic - just like the Bridge View Inn that is its namesake, this hat comes in 6 sizes and is a delight to knit and wear in this original Irish Tweed yarn.
With instructions for adjustments and variations, you will be able to create many lovely hats from this pattern for all the knitworthy people in your life.

Yarn Requirements
M (main colour): 30 (35, 45, 50, 60, 65) g / 1.1 (1.2, 1.6, 1.8, 2.1, 2.3) oz of Convent & Chapel Convent Irish Tweed which is 235m/257yd per 100g/3.5oz (I used col. Heathcliff).
C (contrast colour): 10 (10, 20, 25, 30, 35) g / 0.4 (0.4, 0.7, 0.9, 1.1, 1.2) oz of Convent & Chapel Convent Irish Tweed which is 235m/257yd per 100g/3.5oz (I used col. Tarzan).

Please note that you will need extra yarn if you plan to make a pompom.

Needles & Notions
3.5mm (US 4) and 4mm (US6) needles. You can use a set of DPNs, a single 40cm (16”) circular needle, or a pair of circular needles (if you like to use the Magic Loop method).
1 stitch marker for marking the beginning of rounds and 8-13 additional markers for repeats depending on the hat size you are knitting.

Technique
The alternating cable cast on is great for this project and this video from New Stitch a Day will show you how.
However, any cast on that you are comfortable with is fine.
