Self-striping yarn is one of our favourite magical knitting effects – beautiful colour changes, with no effort at all! Make this yarn look even more special with our simple lace pattern. It uses a purl round at every colour change to ensure the stripes really stand out, and an afterthought heel to keep the stripes perfect throughout the design.

This design uses different needle sizes to achieve the different sizing. All three tensions given should achieve a firm, sturdy fabric suitable for socks.

Tension is dependant on size worked.
