Wrapped in her new shawl, Lydia Bennet would have gaily explored the shops and strolled on the beach at the fashionable seaside resort town of Brighton, all the while watching for a glimpse of Wickham. Delicate shells grace the shawl, and its capelike shape keeps it from blowing off in the sea breeze.

NOTES
• This shawl is worked from the neck down as a three-quarter circle.
• The sample shawl used all of two skeins of yarn. Consider purchasing an extra skein as insurance.
• A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
