Finished Measurements: Hat is 22” 55.9cm or desired width around.

Yarn: Madelinetosh - Tosh Vintage (100% Merino; 200yds 183m per 100 g ball): 1 skein. Color: Forestry.

Needles: US 4 3.5mm 16” circular or dpns.

Notions: Cable needle, tapestry needle, spare circular needle (see Notes).

Gauge: 20 sts and 30 rows over 4” 10cm in stockinette stitch. Always check gauge to ensure piece matches listed measurements.

Notes

  • This hat is worked in two steps, the band is knit flat and sewn to make a loop.

  • Stitches are then picked up from one edge of the band and the hat is worked in the round to the top.

  • The band uses a provisional cast on and kitchener stitch to create an invisible seam over the cables.
