Brioche Danish Heart
Rooted in classic Scandinavian folklore, the Danish Heart has long been a staple of Christmas decorating — a symbol of love, warmth, and the joy of handmade traditions. Originally crafted from woven paper and often credited to Hans Christian Andersen, these hearts have graced trees and windowsills across Denmark for more than a century. This knitted interpretation brings that tradition into a modern, tactile form.
The heart is created in 2 identical pieces worked in contrasting colours. They are then woven together and secured together by single crochet worked round the outside.
