This is a free pattern for a small pouch and an accompanying colouring sheet for planning out your colours.

The colouring sheet is made by Florencia Campos Correa and the pattern is a collaboration between both of us, inspired by my free Broken Stripes cushion pattern https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/broken-stripes-c....

The pouch could be used to hold a bag of dried lavender or small items.

The front of the pouch is made using tapestry crochet and it is ideal for using up scraps of leftover yarn.

The pattern includes photos showing how to do tapestry crochet and full written instructions.

It would be suitable for a competent beginner or intermediate crocheter looking to try tapestry crochet for the first time.

For a video tutorial on how to do tapestry crochet, please see this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/sqQxQQ-Szig

The finished pouch measures 8 x 15 cm but the pattern contains instructions for adjusting the size.

The pattern uses DK weight yarn although you could use a thicker or thinner weight if you prefer.

The pattern is available to download in UK terms and contains a table for converting to US terms (very simply!).

Crochet level: competent beginner to intermediate.
