22.5 [27.25, 28.5]” (57 [69, 72]cm) deep x 54.25 [68, 71.5]” (138 [173, 181.5]cm) wide

This simple triangular shawl is worked from the bottom point up. Broad bands of lace frame a garter stitch center, while picots are worked at the beginning of some rows. Both charts and written instructions are given.

Jill Draper’s Esopus yarn comes in generous 500 yard skeins. If you are using a different yarn you will likely need more than the called for number of skeins for the small and large sizes. Luckily, the size of this shawl is easily adapted. If you run low on yarn or want to make the shawl larger, simply bind off after row 6 or 12 on any repeat of chart 3.

Although this is a shawl, it is important to obtain gauge in order to avoid running out of yarn and to have your finished shawl match the size shown. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain gauge. The gauge given in the pattern is a blocked gauge.

Color: Spicy Mustard, 1 [2, 2] skeins.
