Brushy Creek hat begins with a reversible two color band. Just 25 stitches and a circular or two double-pointed needles are required to work this special band. Worked with two colors in two row stripes and with the same stitch pattern on every row just knit and purl! The reversible magic happens when you slide stitches to the opposite end of your needle instead of turning at the end of the row.
The ends of the band are sewn together and stitches are picked up along the top of the band for the body of the hat, joining to be knit in the round.
