One of the wondrous things about knitting is the ability to create a seamless, textured fabric. Slipped stitches, knit below, purls, ribs… we love it all! But especially bobbles. We at Evie & Essie have a bobble crush and so do our small people.

The bobbles (or bubbles, thanks Essie!) in this gorgeous textural cowl knitting pattern can be worked in a contrast colour to give your cold weather a vibrant pop of colour, or in the main colour and let that texture do the talking (instructions are provided for both). The two colours are worked separately using slipped stitches, so you only work one colour yarn at a time, leaving little sprinkles of the contrast colour to cosy down between each bobble. This also means fewer ends to weave and less risk of twisted yarn.

Lightweight but snug, this cowl sits in under your chin to keep that sneaky cold air at bay. Perfect for slipping on before dashing about.

So much fun to knit, it’ll be off your needles before you know it! Ready for the next one.
