Hello!

This is bubblegum, a neat hat, knit in the round, starting with ribbing and with the body in slip rib stitch, sized for adults, created using 2 colors.

The gauge given is for the main body of the hat, which is knit with slip rib stitch on 9.0 mm needles (US 13); the gauge for the ribbing part on 5.0 mm (US 8) is 16 stitches & 20 rows per 4 inches/10cm.

You need two colors for this hat: the hat pictured uses Lana Grossa Mille II 059 (50% merino, 50% acrylic) and Schoeller+Stahl Meike 0015 (50% wool, 50% acrylic) - technically slightly different in weight, but they go great together.

Mille II and Meike come in 50g skeins, so you need two skeins in total for a hat; Boston Sun comes in 100g skeins, so you can either make a hat with just one color or buy two skeins and create two hats.

I chose the title “Bubblegum” just because the color combination of my yarns reminded me so much of this candy.

The test knit was performed by dulseigh; many thanks to her and her work; be sure to check out her page as well.
