This hat is knit on circular (and double pointed) needles in one size and uses an old, buckled belt to create the desired fit. The belt can be easily attached and adjusted to tailor the fit and create the slight, gathered effect. I used a plastic belt I knew I’d never wear. It was simple to cut, create holes, and sew onto the hat. Leather, though harder to cut and puncture, would be even more exquisite.
