These mitten are based on a technique described in Robin Hansen’s Favorite Mittens. They’re similar to thrummed mittens, but you hold a length of roving in your left hand and weave it in while knitting -- throwing in the American/English way -- with your right hand. It’s similar to 2 color, stranded knitting, except you don’t actually knit with the roving, just weave in the back as you go along. I’ll post some better pictures soon!

Hold the fiber in your left hand, just as she holds her yarn. You might just want to grab it instead of holding it over your finger.
