The yarn used in this look is very delicate and is meant for a hat that will be gently used. It will not hold up to wear and tear and should be handwashed and treated delicately (no tugging on the earflap ties, etc..) For a hat that will withstand more activity, I’d recommend a different super bulky yarn as a substitute for the thick/thin yarn.
