This is a CROCHET PATTERN to make my Bulky Hooded Lion Blanket. This hooded blanket is warm and fun to make and to wear. It is designed to wrap around the person and be cozy and whimsical! It works up quickly!

I used 2 strands Lion Brand Homespun yarn held together on the adult blanket, (10 skeins main color, 185 yds each and 1/2 skein each of 2 contrasting colors)
and 1 strand of Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn (8 skeins main color, 81 yds each and 1/2 skein each of 2 contrasting colors) on the child size.

You could also use one strand Bernat Softee Chunky or 3 strands held together for a regular worsted weight yarn.

All require a 12 mm (P) hook.

Directions for the child and adult size are both included.
It’s easy to add or omit rows to customize blanket to desired length.

Gauge: DC with 12 mm hook and 2 strands of Lion Brand Homespun yarn, or 1 strand of Lion Brand Hometown USA yarn: 4 rows and 6 stitches is about 4”
Check your gauge, and adjust hook size as necessary. It doesn’t have to be exact, but it needs to be close to obtain measurements indicated.
