What am I missing?
Bulky Lace & Cable Scarf or Shawl
the shawl has two 1.5” buttons; the buttons I used are light weight vintage buttons.
I would make sure your buttons are light weight so they do not pull this slightly loose pattern and do not become weapons if you swing the garment around putting it on, etc.
The buttons are from a local vintage shop in Middlebury, VT
