While I love the look of knitted lace facecloth, the fact that there is a wrong side on an item that is used in the manner a facecloth is, kinda bugs me.

Buni is a sweet wee lace facecloth that has the distinctive advantage of utilising a reversible stitch pattern. While each side is slightly different, there is no wrong side to this pattern and increasing and decreasing is only worked on the one side. No more fussing over facecloths on the sink to make sure the right side is always displayed!

Buni is the shortened form or the locals’ name for Buninyong; a small town in Victoria, Australia. My husband proposed to me in the crater of Mt Buninyong, so it is a pretty special place.

This pattern uses the same stitch pattern as the buninyong scarf pattern.
