This design began when I started thinking about a baby blanket surrounded by bunnies. Bunnies that had soft tails. While perfecting my bunnies, I came across this easy lace stitch pattern called “Cloverleaf Eyelet Pattern” (from Barbara Walkers, A Treasury of Knitting Patterns). It instantly came together. My bunnies will be in the clover.

You can easily make the blanket as long as you want by just continuing the cloverleaf lace pattern.

I decorated my bunnies with tails and eyes, but if you have small children or a baby they might be a choking hazard. It’s easy to leave them off, and the bunnies still have eyes and tails under the embellishment. Wait until the child is older and then update the blanket for your child with the tails and eyes.
