Burn the Capitol gloves are designed in tribute to The Hunger Games, symbolising the Mockingjay as the catalyst setting fire to the regime of President Snow and the Capitol. This glove pattern was designed for the Third Vault Yarns Hunger Games Yarn Club, the colours shown in the sample and named below each have their own symbolism.

These stranded colourwork gloves are great for Autumn and Winter outings when you need to be able to use your fingers as the stranding adds warmth to the body of the gloves and the beading adds an extra sparkle. These gloves have two size options Medium and Large, with written instructions for both, and a chart that shows both the medium and the extended large size colourwork.

There are several suggestions in the pattern for changing these gloves to make them perfect for your knitting style, for example style choices and simplification options like with beads or without, ribbing changes and 2 or 3 colour at a time stranded colourwork or neither etc.
