These mittens are a quick knit, using an easy cable. The cable begins in the cuff of the mitt and continues on up, slanting over towards the pointing finger. This creates an interesting effect, making these mitts unique.

This pattern has two sizes; using a light fingering or sock weight yarn will result in a small or medium mitten and using dk weight yarn will result in a medium or large size mitten.

My pink finished mittens, knit with the same hand spun fine sock weight yarn, unblocked are:
Size small: 21.5cm (8 2/3 inches)
Size medium: 23.5cm ( 9 ½ inches)
Gauge: 14 sts x 19 rows = 5x5 cm (2in)

My blue mittens, knit with dk weight yarn, & using the small size on the pattern, are the same size as the medium size pink mittens.

Yarn needed: about 40 g - 60 g of your favourite yarn for mittens (For instance: 1 skein of worsted weight @125 yards/50 g for the smaller size)

Gauge: These should be okay knit up without making a gauge swatch, but if you really need to check it should be around this: 27 stitches and 38 rows is 10x10 cm (4 inches)
