Bushel Beanie
I don’t know about you, but when I first made this I saw bushels of wheat! Many of my friends said it looked like DNA or chromosomes, but I am standing by my bushel idea! The Bushel Beanie is full of intricate texture that you will love knitting. The squish factor is incredible, and the cables are easy to achieve once you get the hang of it.
This is an intermediate pattern. If you like texture and cabling, you’ll love this. If you’ve made my Crystal Lattice Beanie you’ll love the Bushel Beanie’s technique. There are stitch counts for newborn, 0-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, toddler, youth and adult.
YOU WILL NEED:
› 1 ball of worsted weight (size 4) yarn
› Size 9 (5.5 mm) needles on a 16-inch cable (go smaller or with DPNs for baby sizes!)
› Optional: double pointed needles for an easier bind off
› 1 stitch marker for marking the beginning
› Yarn Needle
› Cable needle if desired
› Pom-Pom marker or a fur pom-pom
› Scissors
This pattern was written with the assumption that you have a basic understanding of knitting.
