Directions
The cardigan is worked bottom up. The fronts and back are worked back and forth in one piece to the armholes, where the work is split into fronts and back. The front edges and 4 stitches at each side are worked in garter stitch throughout, with a center back panel worked in
a shell stitch pattern and the remaining stitches in stockinette stitch. The sleeves are worked in the round to the armholes. Fronts, back and sleeves are joined for the raglan yoke, which is worked with garter stitch bands between the raglan decreases. The collar is worked directly onto the cardigan, whereas the pockets are worked separately and sewn on, both collar and pockets mainly in garter stitch.
