Here is a basic cross-over/tie in the back shawl that I just loved making. Its very much in the style of an old fashioned Sontag and ultra practical. When you have to hustle and bustle all day, you need a shawl that won’t fall off.

I used a bulky weight yarn but as I explain in the pattern notes, this is the sort of pattern that can be made in any yarn. Just keep going with the repeats until its a size that you like.
