Butterfly
This is probably an intermediate pattern.
For this pattern, I used the Bernat baby coordinates in soft blue (wt. light/3).
It is a textured yarn, and sparkly :)
For the yarn to show the texture, it needs to be worked loosely. For my first butterfly, I was pretty tight in my stitches and it looks like regular yarn with some sparkly. I tried to do this butterfly a little more loosely to give it that extra texture.
The yarn says to work with a 4mm, but I used a 5.00MM H/8
Given that it is a loose stitch, the more experience you have with ami’s the better. If you are still new, use a 4.25MM, the tighter stitch will make your work look neater. If you choose a different hook, just remember that your butterfly may be slightly smaller. The wings should still look lovely, though.
In writing this, I assume you know how to do a magic circle, or it’s alternative.
Stitches are American
You will need embroidery floss for mouth, and safety eyes. You may also embroider the eyes, I did on my first one (the green butterfly) and they look cuter, to me.
