These shoes are made by cutting the straps from a pair of wedge flip flops and crocheting a top for them.
The pattern calls for a size F hook which works up to a size medium or 7/8. For larger size, use a G hook, for smaller size, use an E hook and DK weight yarn. You can also add stitches to the heel strap for larger sizes.
These sandals can be made using scraps.
