This is the first pattern I designed back in 2014 and I finally got around to writing it out. It includes instructions for how to make these butterflies in two variations (single colour and with a second colour around the wings) and the garland cord. I have made them to sell and they are popular as nursery décor or for children’s room. Many adults like them too.

They can be made in any yarn, but work better in firmer yarns like cotton and linen - I tried making them in wool, but they look very furry and not very shiny.

The pattern is available to download for free on my blog. It is written out in UK terms, but here is a guide to US terms in the document. Please respect copyright! :)
