For more information from a Test Knitter, click Projects and read Linda Jo Park’s notes.

After gentle blocking the sample shown is 54 x 23 inches; another test knitter worked it out to 66 by 28 inches, so you can see that various yarns work out differently.

About the designer, Ruth Park

Ruth Park has been knitting for 4 years and designing for 1 1/2 years. She took up the needles after years of resisting her mom’s attempt to get her into knitting and started designing when she found herself overflowing with ideas for knitted items and no already written patterns that looked like what she imagined. The Butterfly Wings Shawl was inspired by the yarn itself which spoke to her about delicate, colorful wings. Her currently available patterns and information about upcoming patterns is available on her blog, or you can find more frequent updates on her tumblr.
