Byzantine shawl is inspired by Byzantine architecture, one of the most influential building styles of the past 1500 years.

Byzantine is a shallow triangular shawl, knitted sideways. The lines are formed by slip stitches that travel from tip to tip. Only one color is used at a time. After the main body is finished, the stitches are picked up along the edge to knit a border. The size of the shawl is easy to adjust by working more or fewer repeats. The pattern can be worked from the written instructions or the charts.
