Sorry about not having a gauge on this one, guys. I sort of made it up as I went along. You basically want your hat to be in line with the sizing on this size chart:

If your hat seems too wide, measure it and compare it against the circumferences listed there. Keep in mind that ideally,, you’ll want it at least an inch smaller than the head circumference.

As for how much yarn I used, I made both of these hats with the same skein of worsted and I have enough to make at least one more. The amounts of yarn used for the face pieces and cookie are very small.

This hat is easy to make with any worsted weight yarn. The worst part is all the piecing, but even that’s not bad when you consider how cute the result is!
