C# Minor Dressed In Blue
I have made a chart, which you are welcome to follow if you can figure it out, but in case not, I also have the stitch pattern written out. A lot of things about this pattern are fairly arbitrary, and the basic stitch pattern is the only thing that’s really important.
Also, even if you have no interest in yarn bombing, try out this stitch just for fun. Use it in a scarf, a sweater for your poodle or as a border pattern in the kilt you’re knitting for your Captain America action figure.
Regarding the yarn… Anything goes. Maybe your poodle won’t wear anything but angora. Maybe you’ve always thought Captain America would always have looked better if only he’d worn something bulky and chartreuse. Like i said, whatever.
However, if you do intent to create knitted graffiti, worsted weight is probably best, but hey, remember that this is yarn bombing. Have fun. Improvise! When I knit this, I actually used four strands of different fingerling weight yarns, and it ended up blending together beautifully.
Take this out into the world and sew it on to
something, as your contribution to hand knit world domination!
