This pattern was designed to be a quick and easy project for any head circumference! The pattern does not use any abbreviations and includes pictures for working the first two rounds as well as the brim - making it an ideal pattern for someone who is new to crocheting.

The hat starts with a magic ring, but a link to a video tutorial is given to assist those who are at a beginner level. A double crochet stitch is used for the majority of the hat. A few chains and slip stitches will be worked as well. If you choose to make a brim for extra warmth, it will be slip stitched in place so that it does not fall down or move around while being worn.

The smallest size is for a 1-2lb Preemie with a 10” head circumference, and the largest size is an Adult Large for a 24” head circumference. Each size increases in measurement by 1” at a time. The preemie sizes also work great for dolls.

A worsted weight yarn similar to Vanna’s Choice is recommended. While other worsted weight yarns may work, some may require the use of a larger or smaller hook. Please check your gauge before starting the hat or while you are working your first few rounds.

As said by a pattern tester, “I love the ease and quickness. I like the brim and how it is attached instead of guessing how far to roll it up each time it’s worn. And I like all the fun extras at the end to get you thinking of other ways to use the pattern.”

Please ask if you have any questions.
