I designed this washcloth as part of a Fall blog hop called Fall Favorites. The idea has been on my mind since I made my C2C Apple Washcloths last year (2018), so I am glad I joined the blog hop for the push I needed.

A free version of this pattern will be available on the EyeLoveKnots blog as of 10/05/19. On 10/05/19 ONLY, you can visit my blog page for a special code to receive this PDF for free!

Acorns are perfect for Fall decorating, or for a Rustic/Woodland themed home. These washcloths don’t use much yarn, so it would be great for stashbusting, or holiday prepping. Alternatively, you can use it as an afghan block!

Materials:

  • 80 Yards of Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn - I used Lily Sugar n Cream in the Ecru Cream, and Warm Brown colorways, and Crafters Secret in Taupe
  • H8/5mm Crochet Hook (for Lily Sugar n Cream)
  • I9/5.5mm Crochet Hook (for Crafter’s Secret Cotton)
  • Tapestry Needle for Weaving in Ends
  • Optional, Jewelry Pliers

Material Notes:
Yarn Alternatives: Bernat’s Handicrafter, Lion Brand’s Kitchen Cotton. Or any worsted weight yarn for use in anything other than a washcloth.

I love using jewelry pliers to help pull my tapestry needle through cotton yarn.

Note that two crochet hooks are mentioned with the respective yarn. If you combine the two like I did, they do require slightly different hook sizes to keep the same size.

Time Spent:
I finished my washcloth in about an hour and a half.

Abbreviations:
SC - Single Crochet
