Pattern Description from Interweave Online Store: “The brim of the hat is worked sideways, then stitches are picked up along one long edge and the crown is worked to the top. The top is gathered with I-cord threaded through eyelets.” Matching pullover located here.

Finished Size: Hat: 16” (40.5 cm) diameter.

Yarn: Reynolds Cabana (65% cotton, 35% acrylic; 135 yd 122 m/100 g): 1 ball for hat. Hats shown in #832 dark red, #909 turquoise, #807 fuchsia, and #940 pale aqua. Yarn distributed by JCA, Inc.

Yarn weight: #5 - Bulky

Gauge: 18 sts and 22 rows = 4” (10 cm) in k1, p1 rib.

Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
