Cabin Mittens is a knitting pattern for felted mittens in three sizes. Skills needed are Knitting in the round, K, P, casting on mid project, decreasing, increasing, placing stitches on a holder and picking up stitches. I use a set of DPN, a round marker, stitch holder, and a needle for weaving in ends when I knit these up.

The sizes include:
Small: This is the size I made my elementary age children. This size uses US6 needles to achieve the smaller size.
Medium: This is the size I usually make for teens and adults. This size uses US8 needles.
Large: This is the size I make for my husband who is 6’4”. This size is too large for my father, so know your recipient. ;-) This size uses US10 needles.

In each case, you will felt the mittens down to size, beware that felting can only shrink so far, pick your size wisely.

Several different striping options are included in the pattern on pages 3& 4. The first two pages are directions for a single color and this is the template for the striping options.
