Because the cable and rib pattern is very easy to memorize, this sweater is a great one to choose if you want to work on your cabling technique, or practice cabling without a needle. It’s such a simple stitch pattern, and yet the result is stunning, particularly with the row of Ridge Stitches setting off the ribbing from the body, sleeves, and neck. -Sue McCain
